Father and Daughter dance in Thornville, Ohio
I really love this image because it just looks fun. You can not help but smile when you see this. Angela and a group of friends pretty much danced like this all night. Then at one point they broke out into a choreographed number. So when Angela warned me what was going to happen I camped out right in front to get this image. The two of them just knew how to play to the crowd and really make us enjoy there dance.
As many know I love black and white and I really felt the old school look would fit with the story and the dance they were doing. To be honest the lighting was great lighting and I could have easily kept it color. But I always try to remember the story we as wedding photographers are trying to tell. The location was a rustic beautiful barn venue in Thornville Ohio. I did not want the warmth of the barn wood to over power Angela and her dad so the final is black and white.
This is using my base custom black and white preset for LR. It pops up the dark areas and adds back in a little grain for a old school softness.
